BRP Systems is proud to announce a major new release of Go Active!

We’re bringing together the best of Go Active! and Twiik to create one unified experience, a single app that combines everything you already love with powerful new features.

With Go Active! 2.0, members can continue to book classes, services, and events. You can use your phone for mobile access and check-ins, pay invoices, purchase subscriptions, value cards, and entrances, engage with Loyalty and much more, all the great features you know and rely on.

But that’s not all. We’re also welcoming Twiik into the platform, opening the doors to digital training at home, personal coaching, enhanced workout tracking, improved statistics, integration with external fitness services, and the ability to stay connected with friends and your fitness community.

Welcome to Go Active! 2.0, bringing out the best of both worlds.

Introduction to Go Active! 2.0

When bringing Twiik into Go Active, we’ve reimagined the app’s layout to make space for both worlds to coexist in one unified experience. This meant reorganizing screens and their contents to make better use of space, while still maintaining a familiar feel for our existing customers.

The former “Explore” screen is now called “Home”
It’s designed to be your personal hub, where you’ll find a curated mix of content and features. Previously, this area only displayed a list of web categories. Now we can choose which web categories appear here, horizontally or vertically, while also making room for exciting new elements from Twiik.

Among these additions are new widgets, including “News” where you’ll be able to share quick updates, announcements, and promotions directly with your customers. And an improved “Upcoming” section where you can find digital and on-site bookings.

My Training

My Training, your personal fitness journey.

Training statistics has received a major upgrade and now it has its own dedicated place in the bottom menu.

You can still track your training history as before, but now you can go much further by documenting your entire fitness journey.

Keep track of the classes you’ve attended, the machines you’ve used, your progress with free weights, and every rep, set, distance, or duration, for any exercise, anywhere. Log your workouts at home, outdoors, or at the gym.

You can also monitor your weight, form, steps, or even injuries, and plan future workouts to stay consistent. Whether you enjoy diving into detailed stats or just want a quick overview, everything is right at your fingertips.

And best of all, your data is yours. Keep it private, or share your achievements with friends and family.

Classes

Group Activities — still at the heart of the app.

As one of the most used features, group activity booking remains front and center in the bottom menu. It continues to be an essential part of the experience for many businesses, and we’ve kept the familiar look and feel that customers know.

The first time a user opens the class list, they’ll be prompted to select a facility to view available classes from. This helps introduce the filter menu in the top-right corner, where users can refine their view by facilityclass type, and instructor, just like before.

Since not all customers offer classes, this button can easily be hidden through BRP Configuration.

Explore

The Explore screen, still familiar, but with a new purpose.

The Explore page has evolved, while staying true to its name and spirit. It’s no longer the starting point of the app, that role now belongs to the new Home screen.

Instead, Explore is now a curated list of web categories and only that. This is where customers can browse and discover all available activities from your facilities: Classes, Services, Events, and Information.

You can also include other categories here, such as SubscriptionsValue Cards, and Entrance tickets, or choose to highlight those directly on the Home screen instead.

Think of Explore as your app’s “directory” of offerings, while Home can be your showcase for featured content. Want purchases front and center on the Home screen, and bookings in Explore? Or both? It’s completely up to you.

Online

A brand-new way to train, anytime, anywhere.

The Online Training section is completely new, giving you the freedom to exercise wherever you are, at home, at the gym, or on the go. Explore a wide range of options, from quick one-off workouts to structured programs that span several weeks or even months.

Each workout comes with video guidance to show you proper technique, and built-in timers to help you stay on pace for each set. You’ll also see what equipment is required, if any. And if you don’t have time right now, you can easily schedule a workout for later, directly within the app.

Whether you want to target a specific body part or simply improve your overall fitness, this new section has everything you need to get started and stay motivated.

Note that Online Training is not included in the app’s standard license and requires a separate license to use.

Changes, remodeling, moving.

The biggest difference will be that things have moved around a bit. We’ve tried to keep most things in the same place as Go Active! 1.0, but we’ve had to make room for additional features which has led to some things being re-arranged. This also gave us some room to improve current design, we hope everything makes more sense now with the Go Active! 2.0 release.

Staff Center

In Go Active! 1, the Staff Center was integrated directly into the main app. With the launch of Go Active! 2, we are introducing a dedicated Staff Center app. While it is now a separate application, it retains all the same functions and user flows you are familiar with.

Go Active! 2 features a direct link to the Staff Center app. If you don't have it installed, you will be redirected to the appropriate app store for a quick and easy setup:

Bottom menu

Home, your daily starting point.

Home is where we highlight what matters most to you, today.
What was previously the Explore screen in Go Active! 1.0 has now evolved into a personalized Home experience.

Here, you’ll find your upcoming bookingsloyalty progress, and facility information such as opening hours, all in one convenient place.

We’ve streamlined navigation by removing the separate Information button from the bottom menu. Instead, key details are now easily accessible directly on the Home screen and throughout other relevant sections of the app.

You’ll also find your Profile in the top-right corner, giving you quick access whenever you need it.

In short, ExploreMy BookingsInfo, and Profile have all been unified into one, the new Home.

Profile

Moved to a new place!

The Profile section remains largely the same but no longer has its own dedicated spot in the bottom menu. You’ll now find it at the top-right corner of the Home screen.

Inside, you’ll still have access to nearly everything you did before, with a few updated names for clarity. For example, Agreements & Consents is now called Terms and Conditions, and Account and Security has been simplified to Change Password.

If you wish to delete your account, tap Edit at the top and scroll to the bottom of the next screen.

Some elements of the Profile are shown or hidden depending on your setup. For instance, if you’re not using any Twiik-features, you won’t see the option to add a Code.

Local Central Web Categories

If this setting is set to true, you can find the facility selection option under “Profile” on the Home-screen.

enableFilteringOfCentralLocalContent = true

Slogan
The “App slogan” is no longer in use, we had to make sure we had all the space available to us on a small device in order to make the best app possible. Unfortunately we couldn’t spare the room for a slogan this time around.

New things in Go Active 2.0

The new homescreen in the app

Go Active! 2.0 | Changes is the app

Per default all web categories are placed in the ‘Explore’ tab in the app. To display any web categories on the home screen, they must be configured in BRP within the web category settings.

image-20260224-130844.png

Homescreen configuration

BRP version GA2026.02 is required for this to be available.

BRP Configuration > Web and app > Web categories > Select a web category > Base Information tab > ‘Move to home (GoActive 2 App)’ checkbox

If this checkbox is checked, the web category will be listed in Home instead of the Explore in the GoActive 2 app.

Carousels

A new way of organizing and displaying web categories in the app has been introduced:

image-20260311-114626.png

To configure web categories in a horizontally scrollable carousel, create a new web category of the type ‘Carousel’:

image-20260311-114727.png

Then add the web categories you would like to display in the carousel to that web category.

When a web category has been added to a carousel, it looks like this in the Web category list:

This Subscriptions web category is added to a the Carousel web category with Id 165.

New functions

We’ve kept all the functionality of Go Active! 1 and added a bunch of new things. Some of the new functions includes:

  • Connect to fitness trackers
Import steps and other metrics to your history & statistics.

  • Online Training (Note: this is an add-on which requires a license)
The online and virtual training tab. You as an operator can design your own mix of content spanning from virtual classes, plans and bootcamps to individual workouts.

Membership-based content access enabling you to adapt access and pricing based on membership levels - including non-members

  • Social: feed & groups
Connect with your friends, boost & comment on their workouts in the activity feed.

In the feed you see history of your logged workouts, if you have added friends you will se their logged workouts as well.

Create new groups and discover groups that other users already created and find one that fits you.

Updating from Go Active! 1 to Go Active! 2

App user experience

The update works as follows: members receive a new version of the app. When they install the update -either automatically or manually, depending on their phone's app settings, they will get the new version of the app.

If they are logged in, their login will be preserved after the update: they don’t have to login again.
