Product properties are features with predefined values that can be assigned to products.
How Product Properties Are Used
In a typical web shop, you can view different products and, when clicking on one, choose from various attributes such as color, size, or print. With Variable Products and Product Properties, this capability now exists in the API. In the future, support will be expanded to the customer web, and eventually to Point of Sale, Resource Planner, and Self Service Station.
The property itself and its values can have names in multiple languages, which is used by the API and the customer web.
You can define the sort order of the values for a product property, which is also utilized by the API and the customer web.
Product properties are designed to be used in combination with Variable Products.

It’s possible to assign product property values to both Items and Stock items. A product can have one value for each defined property.
