Require parent to sign before buying products

Purpose

To make sure parents confirm that they know the rules before their children access the pool area.

Usecase

An integrator creates a web page on which the parent can read the rules and confirm that they accept them. The integrator uses the BRP API2 to add the date until which the signature is valid to an own defined field on the parent.

Limitations

The support is limited to Point of Sale. There is no support in the API or mobility app/web, or in the Self Service Station.

Configuration

  1. Create an own defined field on person of the type date, for example “Parental signature valid until”

  2. Create a product label that will be used on the products that require the parent to sign, for example “Require parental signature”

  3. For the setting parentalSigningDateField, select the own defined field you created.

  4. For the setting parentalSigningProductLabel, select the product label you created.

  5. Apply the product label to all product that require parental signature

How to use

Sell a product which requires the parent to sign

Select a person before selling the product that require parental signature. If the person has a date for validity of the signature that is today or later, the product can be added. If not, you will get an error message.

If no person is selected in Point of Sale when attempting to sell a product that require the parent to sign.
If a person is selected, but has not signed.

 

Manually set the valid date if the parent is unable to sign using the web page

In Back Office, select the person and set the date on the own defined field of the “Own” tab. Information about who changed this field and when is stored on the history tab of the person.
