Membership report by year

There may be differences in the numbers displayed in the Membership Report by Year in Back Office compared to Members IB in Embedded BI. These discrepancies depend on the setting "maxDaysBetweenSubs".

If this setting is configured as 1 and the same value is used in "Max number of days between subscriptions" when generating the report, the numbers should align. However, if a value greater than 1 is used either in the BRP configuration or in the report settings, slight discrepancies may occur.

Example:

If "maxDaysBetweenSubs" is set to 2 in both the configuration and the report settings:

• Person X has a subscription that grants membership until December 31, 2024 (with no automatic renewal).

• The same person purchases a new subscription starting January 2, 2025.

Report outcomes:

• Membership Report by Year (Back Office):

  • January: Members (not frozen) = 1

• Embedded BI:

  • January: Members IB = 0

This difference arises because, on January 1st, the individual did not have an active subscription. Embedded BI accounts for this gap, whereas Back Office logic considers the two subscriptions as continuous, treating the individual as a member on January 1st.
