NIF (Norway only)

NIF (Norway only)

Description

An integration with Norske idrettsförbundet (NIF)

Functionality

  • When activated, active members in BRP (not yet existing in NIF) will be synced to NIF.

  • Members belonging to the club/organisation, existing in NIF but not in BRP, will be synced to BRP.

  • When new persons are created in BRP, and a subscription is added and debited, the person/membership will be synced to NIF.

  • When BRP receives information about a new membership on the NIF-event bus, the person will be created in BRP.

  • When a persons subscriptions is no longer active, the NIF membership will be automatically cancelled.

  • When a person is added, and a subscription is added and debited, the person and membership will be synced to NIF.

  • BRP listens to member information updates from NIF, can update person contact information and create new persons in BRP.

  • Two members can be merged by an event from NIF. The persons will be merged in BRP, and active subscriptions moved from one of the persons to the other.

Person and membership handling

Backoffice->Persons.

Persons with or without NIF-membership can be filtered by using advanced filter->member->NIF membership yes/no.

When viewing a person, current NIF-status will be visible at the top.

The status can be:

  • “Active” - Person exists in NIF and is active.

  • “Active - Waiting for verification” - Person is synced to NIF but is awaiting user verification by mail or sms.

  • “Active - Waiting for subscription“ - Person is active in NIF, but needs a subscription in BRP.

  • “Inactive” - Is not synced to NIF.

Contact information for a person with active NIF membership can not be edited on the person card, as NIF is master of the contact data.

Backoffice->Subscription->NIF membership

List members that is waiting for subscription, or is waiting for user verification.

When adding a subscription for a person in the list, or if a subscription is added for the person in any other way, the status will automatically switch from “wating to subscription” to “active”. As a fallback, the “manage” button can be used to mark the person as no longer waiting for subscription.

The “cancel membership” action, may be useful to cancel the NIF membership, when the person lacks subscriptions in BRP, when needed.

The “remove verification request” action can be used to remove an ongoing verification process / sync request to NIF, and will cause the person and membership to be synced again (next time the total sync scheduled job will run, or when the person is edited and saved).

Backoffice->Subscription->NIF deviation

Lists members that exists in NIF, and should exist in BRP, but that for some reason could not be synced to or created in BRP.

The most common reason would be e-mail duplicates, as duplicates are not allowed.

A reason column has now been added to this list, that in case of sync failure do to email duplicate, will show the customer number of the person with the duplicate email.
