During the pilot tests, the Dashboard is only enabled for BRP staff. To enable the dashboard for all users, the setting “enableDashboard” must be set to true. The user still needs a dashboard configured on their role.

Purpose

To show useful information and tasks that needs to be performed to users with a specific role.

TODO: Insert image of the dashboard, and of how a widget can link to a MOV.

Configuration

Do not enable the widget for stock levels. They have a known issue that will cause Backoffice to freeze for ALL USERS IN THE INSTALLATION

Set up widgets

Configuration > Dashboard > Widgets

  • Navigate to widgets view. When a widget is created, a widget name is chosen that cannot be changed later!)

    • Is this really true? I can’t se a field for name.

  • Set a name and (if it exists) a value for the chosen widget type property.

Set up dashboards

Configuration > Dashboard > Dashboards

  1. Create a new dashboard with the plus icon.

  2. Set a name, that is only used to identify different dashboards for users during configuration. It is not visible on the dashboard.

  3. Set a title, which is visible on the dashboard.

  4. Which widgets should be shown in this dashboard.

You can now change the order of widgets on a dashboard by moving them up and down.

Configure a dashboard on a role

Configuration > Staff and resources > Roles

For each role, choose if you should leave the “Dashboard” field blank (the user cannot see a dashboard) or if you should set one of the dashboards you created. A role can not have more than one dashboard.
