Dashboard
This feature is currently in a test phase and is not yet available to configure and start using. This documentation will be updated when it is ready to activate.
Purpose
The Dashboard will help you keep track of your business by showing useful information and tasks that needs to be performed. It is possible to create and customize different Dashboards for different roles.
Configuration
To configure the Dashboard, your role needs the “Settings” and “Staff - Roles” right.
1. Enable the Dashboard
The setting “enableDashboard” must be set to True (during the pilot).
2. Set up the Widgets
The Widgets are the different cards you will see in the Dashboard. Most of the Widgets are already automatically created. The ones not created automatically are those that need a property, e.g. “Message to display”
Go to Configuration > Dashboard > Widgets
Add a widget by clicking on + (plus icon) and add a value for the chosen widget type property. The value must be an integer.
3. Set up the Dashboards
It is possible to create different Dashboards for different roles. However, one role can only view one Dashboard.
Go to Configuration > Dashboard > Dashboards
Click on + (plus icon) to create a new Dashboard
Enter a name (this is is only used to identify different dashboards for users during configuration. It is not visible on the dashboard)
Enter a title (this is visible on the Dashboard)
Add the Widgets that should be shown in this Dashboard (click on the pen in the upper right corner)
Add a background image
Choose one of the available backgrounds in the “Default” tab, or upload your own image
4. Add the Dashboard to a role
When you add a Dashboard to a role, all staff with that role will see the Dashboard.
Go to Configuration > Staff and resources > Roles
Click on the role you want to add a Dashboard to > Choose the Dashboard in the list under “User interface - Dashboard”
Notes
Some widgets display a currency. The currency is received from the current company. Dashboard does not support the setting sameCurrencyThroughoutTheInstallation.
Widget types
Here is a list of available widgets. If nothing else is mentioned, the widgets use the logged in users business unit when calculating numbers. I.e: “Cancelled membership subscriptions last 30 days” shows only subscriptions that belong to the same business unit as the logged in user.
