Purpose
Possibility to offer entrance tickets that are valid a specific date and time,
for example 30/10/2024, 08:00-12:00.
If an entrance is configured as a slot entrance:
The customer must not only choose a date, but also a slot on that day. On some days, the there can be multiple slots, for example one before lunch, one after lunch, and one in the evening.
The capacity can be limited, so only a specific number of entrances can be sold for each slot
Configuration
Configure the resource
Create a capacity type
BRP Configuration → Staff and resources → Capacity types
Click on + to create a new one, and enter a name.
Example: “Visitor - Pool” or reuse an existing capacity type.
The capacity type makes it possible for a resource to have different capacities depending on the product. For example, the pool may have the capacity for 300 regular guests, but only for 100 water gymnastic participants, who may require some extra space.
Create the resource
BRP Configuration → Staff and resources → Resources
Click on + to create a new one, and enter a name.
Choose a resource type depending on what type of resource it is (Example: “pool”, or “Room”)
Add the facility of the resource.
Do not add a schedule.
Click on + under “Capacity”
Add the Capacity type and capacity. The number you add under capacity will be the number of entry tickets can be sold for a specific time slot.
Check the box “Enable for internet usage” and “Searchable on customer web” if you will offer entrance sales on the web and app
Add the resource to a view so it is visible in BRP Resource Planner since it is in Resource Planner you will create the different time slots.
BRP Configuration → Staff and resources → Views
Click on a view where you want to add the resource, or create a new one
Add the resource
Configure the entrance product
BRP Configuration → Products → Products
Create or change an entrance product so that it has a single resource requirement for the resource “Pool”
The resource requirement should have
Capacity “Visitor - Pool”
Relative start time
Dynamic length
A validity (within the slot) for as long as you want to. Usually, the entrances should be valid for longer than any slot that you create, so that all customers have time to leave the facility.
Creating slots in Resource Planner
In Resource Planner, mark the time from the start until the end of the slot you would like to create on the resource. In the example, we use the view “Week by resource” to that the whole week is visible at the same time.
Choose to create a work shift.
Repeat until all the slots for the week have been created.
Only work shifts are supported as slots on a resource, not schedules.
How work shifts can be copied from one week to a range of weeks is described here:
Configure the mobility web and app
Usage
How entrances for slots are purchased in mobility is described here:
