Since most customers' BRP installations are hosted in GCP (Google Cloud Services), port forwards are necessary in many cases where the BRP system needs to communicate with networked hardware locally at customers' sites.

We strongly recommend adjusting the firewall rules to allow traffic only to and from necessary IP addresses.
