1.3.3 Reader settings
Please note: These settings are only applicable to the G7 Advanced Access App.
On the "App Configuration" -> "Reader Settings" page, support for multiple doors can be activated thereby allowing two or more readers to operate together on the GT7 or GC7 device. Door in this case means, for example, an access door or also a turnstile. The multiple-door function can be used for access, e.g., to use one reader for entry and a second reader for exit.
A maximum of 8 readers can be connected, which can also operate in parallel depending on the configuration settings.
To activate support for multiple doors, enable the option on this page.
The “Reader groups” menu is displayed.Select the desired reader from the menu “Reader Groups” menu.
A reader group is inserted for each reader where the following settings can be configured:
- Doors/turnstile: The number of doors can be entered
here. By adding several reader groups, it is possible to configure several doors that are differentiated by the number.
- Direction: Define here whether the reader in question is used for entry or exit.
“Undefined” means that the direction is not defined or distinguished.
Note! If a reader within a group reads a data carrier, the remaining readers of this group are blocked.
For example, if a date carrier is read at the entry door, the exit reader is blocked at this time.
