Entry/Exit Control
BRP Entrance View
Entry Control
When a person attempts to enter, BRP checks the following, depending on product type:
For “Subscription”:
The subscription is debited at least through today’s date.
The subscription is not frozen at the current time.
The customer is not blocked (i.e., marked as suspended on their person card).
The customer does not have any overdue invoice (if the “Block card after X days overdue” setting is enabled).
If you have the scheduled activity “Update flag for unpaid subscription invoices,” only the user of the subscription whose invoice is overdue is blocked. Otherwise, the purchaser of the invoice is blocked (regardless of what was invoiced).
Checking the “Do Not Block” box on an invoice disables the overdue-check for that particular invoice.
The subscription type’s entry rights permit entry at the current reader.
The entry right’s schedule allows entry at the current time.
For “Entry tickets”:
The entry’s entry rights permit entry at the current reader.
The entry right’s schedule allows entry at the current time.
For “Value Card”:
The value card is a clip card whose clips represent an entry product.
The value card still has remaining clips (i.e., it’s not used up).
The value card’s validity date has not passed.
The entry product’s entry rights permit entry at the current reader.
The entry right’s schedule allows entry at the current time.
Exit Control
The entry right allows exit at the current reader.
The entry right’s schedule allows exit at the current time.
All other conditions are the same as for entry. On a value card, a clip will be deducted if it was not deducted at entry, or if the validity of the entry created at entry time has expired.
If a clip card is used for exit and was not used for entry, one clip is deducted, and the exit is allowed.
Combining Subscriptions and Clip Cards
In BRP, an entry right fundamentally grants passage at a reader. If both the clip card and the subscription give access to the same reader, BRP will always choose the less expensive option for the customer. Since the customer’s subscription likely allows ongoing entry (even if it doesn’t cover the specific activity), BRP will still choose the subscription for the entry check—it’s governed by entry rights, not by which activity the customer is booked on.
