Vipps / MobilePay

Vipps and MobilePay share the same API (ePayments), for which we have an integration. This integration allows customers in Norway, Finland and Denmark to accept payments through Vipps/MobilePay, in both Point of Sale and Mobility.

User Flow

Web and app

  1. After adding products to the cart, choose Vipps or MobilePay as payment method.

  2. You will now get redirected to the Vipps/MobilePay website or app where you will be asked to log in and complete the purchase.

  3. Once payment is completed, you will be redirected back to the original app or website.

 

BRP Point of Sale

  1. After adding the products to the cart, choose Vipps or MobilePay as payment method.

  2. Enter the customer’s phone number.

  3. Ask the customer to open their Vipps/MobilePay app to accept the payment.

 

Vipps/MobilePay recurring

Vipps/MobilePay can be enabled as payment method for recurring subscriptions. This works the same way as RCP subscriptions in BRP, except that a bank card isn’t needed. Instead, the customer agrees to set up a payment agreement directly in the Vipps/MobilePay app.

 

User flow

Web and app

  1. After adding products to the cart, choose Vipps or MobilePay as payment method.

  2. You will now get redirected to the Vipps/MobilePay website or app where you will be asked to log in and complete the first payment. The user will also have to agree to set up a payment agreement (shows up as a RCP mandate in BRP). User details is automatically fetched from Vipps/MobilePay.

  3. Once payment is completed, you will be redirected back to the original app or website.

BRP Point of Sale

  1. Select a subscription product that has Vipps/MobilePay Recurring configured as available payment method.

  2. When setting up the card consent (payment mandate), select Vipps or MobilePay.

  3. Enter the customer’s phone number.

  4. Ask the customer to open their Vipps/MobilePay app to accept the payment and accept the payment agreement.

Mandates will be shown in the same list as RCP mandates in BRP.
