Service Product

General Information

A service can only be booked if its resource requirements are met, for instance when booking a conference room or a massage.

This documentation explains the information needed specifically for service products.

Agreement

Disclaimer:
A dropdown to select if persons need to agree to a disclaimer upon booking, with the possibility to write a message or not.

Booking

No rights necessary:
When this box is checked, all customers can book the service. If unchecked, booking rights are restricted to those displayed in the "Right for Booking" field.

Rights for booking:
Shows which rights grant permission to book this service via web booking. These rights are registered under Configuration → Admittance → Rights.

Booking rule:
Select a preconfigured booking rule.

Type of journal notation:
If a journal note type is set, only users with rights to that specific type can create and read journal notes on service bookings for this product.

Light control

Use light control:
Used in conjunction with the "Light Control Lock" setting found on each resource. This is utilized to switch lights on and off when the resource is booked or unoccupied.

Turn on lights only if debited:
This setting can only be changed if "Use Light Control" is enabled. If checked, the light control requires the booking to be billed before the lights turn on. If not checked, it’s enough for the booking to be part of a confirmed (non-preliminary) order.

Events

Notify on changes:
A dropdown with the options to send a notification if any changes are made to the booking:

• None

• All

• Staff only

• Orderer only

Other properties

Checking in and out:
Primarily used for hotel operations; applies only to entry where there is no physical access reader.

Supplement service:
Specifies whether the service is considered an add-on service.

May only be booked as part of a package:
If this box is checked, this service can only be booked as part of a package product, not by itself.

Number of Players
If a value greater than 1 is specified, a booking of the product will reserve that many player slots. The booking price becomes (product price × number of players). Used for products like “Tennis,” where each player needs to pay separately.

Admittance using card/wristband

If persons who booked this service should be able to access the facility using card/wristband, check the “Passage according to time of booking” box.

Minutes before/Minutes after:
Decide how long before and after a booking the person can enter the facility.

Rights:

Admittance type:
Used to separate customers heading to different parts of the facility, allowing for separate statistics (e.g., spa vs. gym)

Generate QR code for admittance:
Check this box if a QR code for admittance should be generated and sent to the customer upon booking.

Rights for booking entry:
Enables access with a booking ID for a specific service booking. The right determines which readers can be used to gain entry.

Product addition

Relevant for the customer web. Specify products the customer can add to the order when booking a service. These add-ons can be mandatory or optional. Only Item-type products can be chosen as add-ons. Note that the add-on product must have "Bookable via Internet" enabled for use on the customer web.
