Price Lists
General Information
BRP Configuration → Products → Price lists
Price lists allow for multiple pricing options for the same products—for example, member prices or contract prices. In this section, you name the price lists you plan to use, but at this stage, they have no content or effect on actual prices.
The contents of a price list are built by specifying, for each individual product, which price list(s) determine that product’s price. You can then apply a particular price list to a person or organization by selecting it on the person card or organization card. For instance, customers or organizations assigned the “Member Price” list will be charged the price designated as “Member Price” for each product.
You can also link a price list to a right derived from a subscription under Configuration → Admittance → Rights. Each subscription grants certain rights; for example, a “Gold Pass” might include access to all readers but can also grant the right to purchase products at a specific price list.
Price lists can be used on:

Validity Period for Price Lists
You can create price lists that only apply during certain time periods—e.g., you can set one to take effect starting in 2025. The validity period of a price list is set when linking a product to that list. This is done under the product’s Price tab.
Schedules
With schedules, you can further control when prices in a price list are active. Specify the times those prices should apply by “opening” those hours with a schedule. Outside of those times, the product’s standard price will be used.
Current Products in a Price List
To see which products use a specific price list:
Products > Products
Search for all products. (You can refine the search if you know the price list is only used by a particular product type.)
Open the first product in the list.
Go to the Price tab and check whether the relevant price list is being used.
Click on the next product in the list to review them.
Changing a Price in a Price List
Because price lists are built by indicating, on each product, which price lists govern its price, you need to update the products affected by the price change.
Open the relevant product in the Product List (Products > Products).
Go to the Price tab.
Click on the price that has the price list connected to it
Change the price as needed.
Confirm the price list update by clicking OK.
Deleting a Price List
To delete a price list under Configuration → Products → Price Lists, that price list must not be in use by any products. Note this applies to products in all statuses (Active, Not in Use, Deleted). You may need to review your product list across all statuses to find every product that references the price list in question.
Once a price list is deleted, it is automatically removed from any organization/person cards or rights where it had previously been applied. Subscriptions that used to grant special prices for certain products will no longer provide those prices.
Removing Products from a Price List
Open the relevant product in the Product List (Products > Products).
Go to the Price tab.
Select the price that is connected to the price list.
Click the Trash can icon to remove the price list.
Confirm the removal by clicking Yes when asked, “Please confirm you would like to delete selected post?” (Click No to cancel).
Example: Using Price Lists for Member Prices
Under Configuration → Products → Price Lists, create a new list called, for example, “Member.”
Open the product and create an additional price entry. Select the “Member” price list. You can either specify a different price or apply a discount (taken from the standard price).
Under Configuration → Admittance → Rights, open the rights that should receive a discount and select the “Member” price list.
The price list only applies as long as the customer has a valid subscription.
