Description

Customer types determine the price a customer pays for a product. For instance, students may receive a discounted rate. This works by assigning multiple prices to a product, each linked to a specific price list. That price list is then associated with a particular customer type. The benefits of using customer types includes:

• Fewer subscription products needed

• Automated communication

• Better user support in wizards

• Default customer type based on age

• Statistics by customer type

• Student lookup (Sweden only)

Possible to create your own customer types in Configuration > Person > Customer type. The new type can have upper and lower age limit and customers will automatically be assigned the proper type.
