Overview of Staff Card
The staff card is an addition to the Person card for each profile, that will give you more options to manage your staff profiles in comparison to the regular member profiles. The same profile can be viewed from both Back office and Configuration to make sure you have easy access to them for the task you need to do.
The tabs available on both cards: Person, Marketing, Message, Member, Activity, Finance, Invoices, Customer journal, History and Own) are explained in the documentation for Back Office.
The tabs that are only available in Configuration → Staff are: Staff, Facilities and Salary and Comission. Please continue reading to gain more insights in the purpose and use of those tabs.
Staff tab
Name | Description |
---|---|
Employee number: | Individual employee number that will be created automatically. However, you still have the possibility to change it. Note! It will be possible to add the same employee number as another staff. |
Employment start: | The start date of the employment. |
No longer employed: | If this box is checked, it indicates that the person's employment has ended (the field has no connection to the end date of ‘End of deployment’). |
End of employment: | The end date for the employment. |
Role: | Your choice here impacts what your staff can and can’t do in BRP, please see Roles for configuration |
Register unit: | Legacy choices, a member of staff should no longer be connected to a specific register unit. |
Start view: | When opening Resource planner, what view would be best for this specific staff member? Maybe Classes for one and available PT slots for another. |
Resource connection: | This connects your staff to a resource in BRP. Please make sure all staff have this connection to their resources. |
Facilities
Name | Description |
---|---|
Access to all companies and facilities | If your staff member should have access to all current and future companies and facilities in your installation, please tick this box. This is common for owners and local system administrators. Explanations can be found in Staff access. |
Company: | Add companies your staff member should have access to. This is common if you have employees who can work at any facility in your company. Explanations can be found in Staff access. |
Facilities | Add facilities your staff member should have access to. This is common if you have staff that are designated to work at and have acces to only one or a few of your facilities. Explanations can be found in Staff access. |
Salary and Comission tab
Name | Description |
---|---|
Employee type: | If you use BRP Time reporting, this explains how your staff will be compensated for their time spent working |
% of full time: | Only applicable to monthly salary types. Enter the percentage of full time the person will be working, for example 50% of full time. |
Person group for validating time sheets: | If you use BRP Time reporting, this will put your staff in a group for their manager to validate their time sheets. |
Time code modification: | Only visible if the “Use time code modification” checkbox is selected on the time code in BRP Configuration → Staff and resources → Time code. Enter a number that will be a prefix to the time code. |
Comission: | If certain product gropus are sold, commission can be added to your staff. |
